Life Story for Gertrude Florence Hamilton

Gertrude Florence Hamilton
Gertude (Gertie) Florence Hamilton
November 23,1935 – December 06,2017

Gertie was born at home in Holbein Sk . She lived in Holbein, Shellbrook, Saskatoon and the last 4 years in Paradise Hill and St Walburg .

Gertie is predeceased by: her life time partner, Ted Ingram; her parents, James & Manerva Hamilton; her half sisters, Margaret, Dorothy, Lizzie, and Lilly; her half brothers, Bud, George, and Tom; and her sisters, Elsie McQuarrie, Merle (Carl) Hickey, Helen (Bud) Clovis, Leona (Wilfred) Sinclair, and Eileen Balman; her brothers, Ray Hamilton, and Clifford Hamilton.

Gertie is survived by: her sisters, Joyce Comeault and Vi (Wilf) Buller; her brothers, Hubert Hamilton, Robert Hamilton and Smokey Hamilton. And with that large of a family comes several nieces and nephews.

Gertie was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. She also enjoyed a good argument once in a while in which several of us had taken part in whether we wanted to or not. We let her win once the finger pointing started. Gertie loved being around people whether it was visiting or just listening. She enjoyed going for car rides, especially if it was to go to Taco Time or to visit relatives. She also enjoyed making puzzles, playing cards and going for walks with her friends.
Gertie's eyes would light up when company would come to visit, especially when Mikayla, Kaydence and Kaylee would come. We always had a laugh when we visited usually at each other expenses.

We are going to miss her dearly.
